Nope, your eyes aren’t deceiving you, you’re reading this blog post right!!  The programming this week (and every week, am I right!?) is looking challenging!  We’re in full blown Open prep (are you signed up yet?)!!  But remember…it’s really only you against you!  Are you more fit than you were a year ago, 6 months ago, last month?  Just because some else in the same class is lifting a certain amount, doesn’t mean you have to.

Is it your 3rd day in a row?  Are you feeling sore?  We always need to be scaling accordingly.  Sometimes we need to step back & ask ourselves “Am I overtraining?”  More doesn’t equal better!!!  Better (movement, reps, form) equals better (results, training, etc)!  So be smart with your training.  Listen to your body & talk to your coaches!!  We want to help you achieve all your goals, but we can’t do this if your’e injured 😉

Enjoy your super bowl Sunday!!  Eat a few favorite treats and reset tomorrow!  We’re excited for an awesome full week of February…let’s make it a great week!  Here’s your look ahead…

Monday – Get ready to hold onto the bar…we have some barbell cycling today.  4 sets of 9 clean & jerks at 45-55% of your 1RM!  4 rounds of 100m shuttle sprints, thrusters & muscles ups!

Tuesday – We have a gymnasty metcon first today with some DUs, HSPU & prone grip L-Sit pull-ups.  Afterwards, we have a fun little snatch EMOM around 75-85%.

Wednesday – Today we’re taking it back to 2011 and testing Open WOD 11.3, which is 5 minutes of squat clean & jerks (yikes!).  Then we have one more metcon of rowing & chest to bar pull-ups followed by some core conditioning.

Thursday – A little more barbell cycling today, this time a few sets of power snatches for time.  Scale accordingly, the RX weights are heavy!  Keep your barbell out, after we power snatch, we back squat 🙂

Friday – Wallballs, t2b & ground to overhead today.  The same workout, 3 ways…once as a 3 min AMRAP, once as a 6 min AMRAP, then for completion, so bring your engine!!

Saturday – Rowing, burpees, box jumps and shoulder to overhead in one minute intervals, fight gone bad style!  Grab a partner & be there!!
