Battle of the Ages week is here!!!  Just a reminder that we are hosting Battle of the Ages 2 this Saturday, April 8th!!  Heats will kick off at 9am sharp & will wrap before 4pm (we run a tight ship 😉 )!  We are pumped to have over 40 competing teams and 160 athletes, lots of amazing vendors & a huge crowd of spectators!!  It will be an epic event for sure, we can’t wait!!!

Since we are hosting BOA2 this weekend, we will not be having CrossFit or RISE classes Saturday morning and will only have Open Gym on Sunday (1-230pm), no Oly class.  Friday classes are on as normal.  Sorry for any inconvenience!  If you’re not competing Saturday, we encourage you to come out and cheer on our CFP teams and the other athletes competing!  It’s not too late to sign up to volunteer/judge either, just fill out this form here.  The Improper Pig food truck will be on site selling food (volunteers/judges get a lunch included) during lunch hours.

Can you believe it’s already April!?  Warm weather has returned (hallelujah!) and we’re less than 2 months out from Memorial Day weekend!!!  Are you feeling bathing suit season ready??  How are those 2017 goals coming along?  Workouts going well, but nutrition suffering?  If you need a change, come talk to coach Brandon or coach Michelle to get set up for success!!!  The one hour a day in the gym is the easy part, it’s the other 23 that are tough, so let us help you!

Alright, as always, let make it an awesome week!!  Here’s your preview of the week ahead…

Monday – Front squat day! 4 sets of 5 working at some percentages today.  Some station work today, every 90 sec for 4 sets you’ll complete some c2b (or bar MU for rx+), rowing, thrusters & calories on the bike!

Tuesday – Some power clean work today, 8 sets of 1 lift off + 1 power clean, building in weight.  Then 4 sets of a 400m run & ME power cleans in a 3 min window.  Don’t worry, you get to rest between rounds 🙂

Wednesday – Working that push jerk today!  Afterwards, a fun chipper of burpees, deadlifts, c2b, deadlifts and burpees!!  Happy hump day!

Thursday – Starting off with some hang snatch, then snatch work.  For your metcon, you’ll complete 3 sets of rowing, wallballs, box jumps and hspu with some rest between each set!

Friday – Ever heard of the Bergeron Beep Test?  Well, don’t google it, just show up 😉  Afterwards, we’ll finish with a little ground conditioning!

Saturday – No CF or RISE classes!!  Battle of the Ages 2 going down, come out & cheer everyone on!!!

Sunday – No Oly today, open gym only from 1-230pm.
