burpee 101

Happy Sunday!!  Coach Sarah shared this on Facebook & it was too funny to not pass along 😉 In case anyone ever asks you how to do a burpee, just show them this image!  Haha

Hope you all had an awesome “shorter” week last week due to the July 4th holiday!  It may have been a shorter week, but we still did plenty of working out!  And it has been HOT, so just make sure you’re replacing those fluids you sweat out each time you’re in the gym!

Here’s your weekly look ahead…

Monday – Starting the week with some cardio snatches!  A fun little complex of snatch pulls, power snatch & overhead squats every 2 minutes for 3 sets.  Then, 4 sets of rowing, burpee box overs, hr pushups (rx+ deficit strict hspu) & c2b (rx+ ring mu) with a little rest between sets!

Tuesday – Getting upside down today & working on some handstand work!  Afterwards, 3 sets of running, bar work (t2b & c2b, oh my!) and ground to overhead.  You’ll have 8 minutes to complete each round & then rest, so go fast & get to that rest!

Wednesday – Back squat day!!  3 sets of 8 between 75-80%!  This just might hurt your feelings, or your legs!  Then a nice long alternating EMOM of wallballs, du+c2b, db burpee box step ups (yes, you read that right!).

Thursday – RDLs superset with chin-ups (weighted if possible) first.  After, a quick, little chipper of box jump overs, t2b & thrusters!

Friday – A fun twist on the bear complex today, working up in weight!  For out metcon, we have du, slamballs & burpees (see graphic above 😉 )!

Saturday – Partner WOD Saturday – fight gone bad style workout.  Find a friend & come workout!!
