Alright athletes, the season of holiday parties and eating is basically here!  Getting to the gym is probably the easy part at this point, it’s the other 23 hours in the day…am I right!?  The average person gains 10lbs between Thanksgiving & New Years!  10lbs!!!  This can totally be avoided, all without depriving yourself.  We’re going for maintenance this holiday season and it’s about balance!

Make sure you’re getting enough protein, eat all the veggies you can and when at parties, fill your plate with mostly good stuff (protein, veggies, fruit, minimal dips and sweets) and only have a small indulgence of your treat or drink of choice.  You can do this!!  Talk to coach Michelle (info@pinevillecrossfit.com) about your nutrition goals and how you can maintain or even lose weight by New Year’s this year!!!

We’re a week and a half away from Turkey day.  Make sure you’re getting in to the gym this week!  It’s easier to make better food choices when you’re consistently working out!  Here’s your look ahead…

Monday – We being the week with a 10 sets of alternating work – power cleans, then weighted pull-ups.  Then a few more power cleans in the workout, 3 rounds of 10 power cleans and 10 burpee box jumps.  Are your legs ready for the fun?

Tuesday – More alternating work today of shoulder press and single arm KB bent over row.  Afterwards you have 8 minutes of work of thrusters, T2B & DU!

Wednesday – 5 sets of goblet KB lunges & rings dips.  Afterwards, you have 5 rounds of kettlebell swings and wallballs!  Fun, fun!

Thursday – Today we floor press!  Working up to a heavy 2 rep.  Then a little chipper action awaits of rowing, floor press (at 60% of today’s double) and running.

Friday – Front Squat day!!  Finding a 1 RM, woohoo!!  Then, everyone’s favorite girl WOD…that’s right…FRAN!!

Saturday – As always, a fun partner WOD is in store of rowing and barbells <3 Grab your best partner & we’ll see you there!!

Sunday Oly – Hang cleans, jerk balances and back squats…oh my!!
