December’s Coach Highlight is Stephanie!

me

Stephanie is originally from Georgia, but moved to Fort Mill about a year and a half ago.  Stephanie has been coaching here at CFP since May 2014!  She originally was like most people and very hesitant about trying CrossFit.  If it weren’t for her husband John, she may never have taken the leap of faith.  Once they tried CrossFit in their hometown of Jefferson, they were hooked.  Now almost three years later, she still is as passionate about it as she was day one!  When she is not CrossFitting, she stays active chasing her 5 year old son, Jacob around.  She and John are also very excited to be expecting a new baby girl in June!

Stephanie is a great coach, always willing to help people reach their goals or try something they never would have thought possible!  Get to know her a little better…

Stephanie’s Coach Profile

  1. Tell us a little about yourself.  I moved here, to Fort Mill almost 2 years ago.  I am the wife of an amazing man, John and the mom to the sweetest little boy, Jacob.  I am currently pregnant with our 2nd child, Emma.  This is my first pregnancy crossfitting, so I am having fun watching what my body can do while creating this little life!
  2. How did you get into CrossFit & why do you love coaching? I originally tried CrossFit because my husband talked me into it.  I was a cardio girl…spin, elliptical, running.  I would have never thought I would love CrossFit the way I do.  One WOD and I was hooked!  That is really why I started coaching.  I always struggled with self-image and self doubt and once I started CrossFit, I began to see my body differently.  I began to see it for what it could do and for the strength, instead of focusing on my flaws.  I began coaching so I could help others feel the same.  To feel strong and to do things they never thought possible!
  3. What is your favorite CF exercise?  Least favorite?  I would have to say my favorites are overhead squats, cleans and burpees (I know, I know!).  My least favorites are absolutely wallballs!  They are the worst!
  4. What would you tell someone considering trying CrossFit?  You can!  You should!  Do it!  I can honestly say it completely changed my life.  I love everyday and all the amazing people it has brought into my life.  What do you have to loose?
