Here’s a tip for your #FitFriday! Have you reached a goal lately? Maybe a large goal, like a hitting your goal weight, PRing a lift you’ve been after for a while, or mastering a pull-up. Or maybe it’s a smaller goal, like working out 5 times in week or ordering the healthier option when out to eat.
I used to be quick to reward myself for hitting a goal with food. Treating myself to a cheat meal, cupcake, bowl of ice cream or an extra drink. But those rewards were so fleeting & usually just left me feeling bad about myself and bloated. Totally self sabotaging any goal I just hit!
So now, I reward myself with some self care – depending on the goal (large or small) maybe a new nail color, a full mani/pedi or massage or some new workout clothes or shoes! Not only do these things fill my cup and fuel me to reach more goals, I’m not left feeling like a busted can of biscuits from engorging in a cheat meal and there’s been zero self sabotage!
