How fun was it to watch The CrossFit Games?! So inspiring, right? What are your new goals now…peg board ascents?…ring handstand push-ups? Haha…or maybe not for all us regular CrossFit folk 😉
Remember – “You don’t need harder workouts, you need to go harder in your workouts.” -Tommy Hackenbruck
Pat Sherwood shared this good word back in February 2015 on his Instagram about how he chooses where to workout while on the road:
“This is not meant as anything other than to simply identify the process I use when traveling. It works great. I chose the word “everyday” for A and B specifically. In my opinion if a gym does that every now and then that’s great, but not everyday. Sometimes it’s easy to look at what top level Games athletes are doing and think the rest of us need to imitate it. Not true. We all need CrossFit, they just require a lot more.
This quote from @crossfitmiranda is a good one. “Results come from intensity, not volume. More is only better or necessary for an individual who’s volume will be tested in competition at the highest level.” 99.9% of affiliate members are not going to the Games. If you are, then great. Just don’t make the rest of us train that way.”
More isn’t better. Better is better 😉 Intensity = RESULTS!
