Meet James & Molly aka Jolly 🙂

Jolly joined our gym just about a year ago after moving to the Queen City from Ohio, where James was already an avid CrossFitter and Molly had recently started!  James works in the restaurant industry & Molly works retail so they hit up all different class times, from 9am to 7pm.  James & Molly are both great athletes that love to push themselves, while still knowing their limits.  They work hard & smart!  They’re becoming more fit, stronger & James is finally getting that deep squat 😉

We’re so glad to have you both at CFP, Jolly!  Thanks for being a wonderful part of our awesome community!  Get to know James & Molly a little better below…

What is your favorite CrossFit movement?

James: I don’t have a favorite movement, but rather two groups of movements that I really enjoy. Olympic lifting, and gymnastics movements. If I had to pick one movement over anything else though, it would probably be handstand walking. There’s something about being able to balance, and walk on your hands that’s extremely gratifying.

Molly: I have two favorite CrossFit movements. Definitely Back Squat! I love a good back squat! I also surprisingly really enjoy doing bar over burpees!

What have you learned from CFP & what do you love about it?

James: What I’ve learned from CFP is how to relax and have fun CrossFitting again. Somewhere along the line, it became almost a chore. But this past year at CFP has helped me to find the fun in CrossFit again. Also, I’ve learned how to squat properly, finally. The thing I love about CFP is that through this past year, it has helped Molly grow to love CrossFit as much as I do. Which makes coming to the gym that much more enjoyable. I also really enjoy the camaraderie among all the athletes and coaches.

Molly: One thing I really love about CrossFit Pineville are the people (everyone from the coaches to the athletes). It’s the reason we fell in love with the box. When we dropped in for a visit a year ago when we moved to Charlotte, everyone was so inviting and encouraging! We knew right away that CFP was the box for us!
