The weather is finally cooling down (ever so slightly) and I’m willing fall to hurry up with this yummy Ground Turkey 2 Bean Chili recipe from friend & former CFP member, Lori! Simple, few ingredients & very tasty!! Pairs perfectly with football, cooler temps & large crowds 😉
Ground Turkey 2 Bean Chili
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey
- salt & pepper, onion powder, garlic powder – to taste
- 16 oz chicken broth
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 2 oz canned chopped green chilies
- 1 can navy beans
- 1 can northern beans
- salt & pepper, cumin, chili powder, onion & garlic powder
- optional toppings – shredded cheese, sour cream or plain greek yogurt
Directions
- Brown turkey with a little extra virgin olive oil. Season with salt & pepper, onion, & garlic powder. Remove from pot.
- Add 16 oz chicken broth to pot along with chopped onion & 2 oz canned chopped green chilies. Let simmer for 8- 10 minutes.
- Add in 1 drained and rinsed can each of navy beans and northern beans. Season with more salt & pepper, cumin, chili powder, onion & garlic powders. Simmer until warm.
- Top as desired with shredded cheese and/or sour cream or plain greek yogurt.
