You have CFP athlete Todd to thank for this amazing recipe!  It’s a tried and true favorite of his from Hungry Hobby blog and he was kind enough to pass it along to me; so I felt it worthy of sharing here as well!  Plus, this recipe is all in one pan, a great way to get some green veggies in, and delicious!!  It’s a win all around!

It can be whipped up pretty fast on a busy weeknight, or you could double it to meal prep for your week ahead.  Either way, you’re going to want to make this asap!  Enjoy!

One Pan Chicken Sausage with Sauteed Brussels Sprouts and Apples

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • 1 package chicken apple sausage
  • 1 package shaved brussels sprouts
  • 1 c shredded green cabbage
  • 1/2 c chopped onion (opt)
  • 1-2 fuji apples, thinly sliced
  • 1/3 c water
  • 1 tsp caraway seeds
  • 1/4 tsp lemon pepper
  • salt to taste
  • parsley garnish (opt)

Directions

  1. Heat oil on medium high in a large skillet (that has a lid), add chicken sausage and brown.
  2. Once browned, add remaining ingredients and cook covered for 5 minutes, stirring as needed.  Meal is done when brussels sprouts are tender.
  3. Serve and enjoy.
