Paleo-BBQ-Sauce-Fed-and-Fit-1

This week’s Menu Monday post is all thanks to our favorite Super Old Man…Todd!  (And I only call him that since it’s his Insta handle 😉 ) Todd is quite the cook & shared with me a delicious Paleo BBQ Sauce he found from Fed & Fit blog!  Todd is probably the cleanest eater we know and if he approves of this recipe, it must be good!!

And as it turns out, you can make this sauce 4 ways – Regular (which I’m sharing below), Tangy, Sweet or Spicy!  So make one for your next batch of grilling, make another for some homemade bbq chicken pizzas on cauli crust, and make the other 2 for some yummy wings!!  Store your leftovers in the fridge.  The possibilities are endless, so enjoy!

Fed & Fit’s Regular Paleo BBQ Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 24 oz strained tomatoes
  • 7 oz tomato paste
  • 1/2 c apple cider vinegar
  • 1/3 c blackstrap molasses
  • 1/3 c coconut aminos
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp ancho chili powder (may substitute regular chili powder)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper

Directions

  1. In a large saucepan, melt the butter.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients and whisk together.
  3. Let simmer on low for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove from heat and either use immediately or can to store.
