Meet Lana, our October Athlete of the Month!!

Lana is an amazing athlete, wife to Alex, mama to 2 sweet girls and an preschool teacher!!  She is superwoman and does it all!  You’ll typically see Lana dark and early at a 6am class.  She may sprint by you in a running WOD or you can catch her weekends crushing partner WODs!  Some days you might find her in her garage getting an extra workout in.

Despite being a busy working mom, Lana makes zero excuses!  She continues to progress and is constantly working toward improvement!  Lana is such an awesome part of our community, always cheering other athletes on and encouraging others when they need it most.  We’re so thankful to have you as part of our community!

Lana’s Athlete Profile

1. Tell us about yourself in a few sentences. I am originally from Russia and have been in the States for 19 years now. I love my friends, family, delicious food and good old adrenaline rush. I have two amazing daughters, a wonderful husband and they are my sunshines.
2. What do you hope to achieve through CrossFit? I came into CF wanting to “look bettet naked.” Well I found out that really that is NOT what I am after with this sport. I love being strong and getting even stronger. I also love the fact that my girls have a good example before their eyes (I didn’t when I was little). I hope that it will take away some of the teenage issues later on 🙂
3. What is your favorite CF exercise? I LOVE deadlifts!!! Although I round my back (lol) I love the fact that it is such a simple lift.
4. What CF exercise do you least like? My least favorite exercise used to be snatches. As of today it is ring dips haha!
5. What would you tell someone considering trying CFP? CFP is a great place! The coaches are knowledgeable and very helpful. I am amazed by the fact that some are trained as physical therapists. That makes for a safer environment! And the people!! Love everyone. What an awesome bunch of harworking people! If I knew someone considering joining CFP, I would drag them there!❤
