Meet Courtney – our member highlight for today! Courtney first joined CFP in January of 2014 and has been with us, as well as RISE, pretty much ever since. She did take a short hiatus over the summer months, but she was getting married & extremely busy at work…we’re glad life has slowed down a bit & so glad to have you back, Courtney!
Courtney is an Occupational Therapist as well as a Yoga Teacher, so she has great body awareness and loves to learn about movement. Courtney frequents the mid morning classes. She & her husband can be found out hiking, camping & enjoying the outdoors on the weekends! Read a little more about Courtney below…
What is you favorite CrossFit movement? I really enjoy squats. Front squats, back squats, with kettlebells… any variation! Also, this may sound crazy, but I kind of like burpees!
What have you learned from CFP & what do yo love about it? I have learned proper body mechanics for lifting and strength training. As an OT and yoga teacher, body mechanics, alignment and technique are very important to me for preventing injury. Also, I love the community at CFP! Everyone has such a positive and encouraging attitude.
