Ouch. Did that hurt a little?! Well read it again, because the truth hurts my friend. You can’t improperly fuel your body, repeatedly eat crap, continuously binge and expect to see a change in your weight, body composition and gym performance.
Someone wise once said, “What you eat in private you wear in public.” And it’s so true! Any type of eating plan and lifestyle change requires commitment! Notice I didn’t use the word diet, because diets don’t work. It has to be something that is sustainable with longevity in mind.
If you’re following macros and completely blowing out you macros daily or even a few times a week, you’re not going to see results. If you’re following Paleo or Whole 30, yet still eating grains and dairy several times a week, you’re not going to see results. But only you know exactly how you’re fueling your body.
Of course we’re going to have cheat meals and cheat days and vacations and special occasions. But that’s exactly what those are, single occurrences that allow for a little more indulgence than the day to day. Moderation is key to any lifestyle so you avoid overeating and binge eating.
Nutrition speaks to longevity and fueling our body over time. Hopefully the eating plan you’re using now for our Clean Eating Challenge…Paleo, Macros, Whole 30…is working for you. And if it’s not, change it!! Because doing the same thing over and over & expecting different results is the definition of insanity. Make it work, make it last!
