Get excited athletes…yoga is {finally} coming to CFP!!! We’re so excited to share that starting Thursday, Feb. 4th, CFP will be offering Yoga for Athletes at our 7pm time slot!
Yoga for Athletes will be led by CFP member & yoga instructor, Courtney! Courtney’s been practicing yoga for 10 years and has been instructing for 4 years. Courtney’s primary certification is in vinyasa yoga with a strong focus on alignment. She is also certified in prenatal yoga & has additional training in meditation, arm balancing, and yoga for athletes. She also has her MS in Occupational Therapy (her full time gig 😉 ).
Many of you guys have been asking for a yoga class for a while and we’ve been wanting to offer it, just didn’t know the best way to do it! We’re constantly assessing the needs of the gym and our athletes and we’ve noticed attendance is much lighter on Thursdays, specifically at 7pm. Many take rest days after working out Monday through Wednesday and end up skipping Thursday.
We hope by offering Yoga for Athletes & having you incorporate it into your fitness regimen you will improve your overall mobility and range of motion and minimizing your risk of injury, all the while helping you reach your fitness goals!
Yoga for Athletes will take the place of 7pm CrossFit on Thursdays. We will cap the class at 30 participants and you can sign up in Wodify 48 hours in advance. It will be BYOM (bring your own mat) and is open to all levels, whether you’re an old yogi pro or as stiff as a board! Yoga for Athletes will be included in your CrossFit membership, non-members will pay $5 a session.
